Online challenger bank, Revolut, has just introduced a new feature which makes it easier to protect yourself from volatile cryptocurrencies. Earlier this week, Revolut launched what it is simply calling its “auto-exchange” feature, which will allow users to automatically exchange two currency pairs – fiat and cryptocurrency – when the pair hits a specific exchange rate. North Korea has obtained some $670 million in virtual and fiat currency in a bid to bypass economic sanctions put in place as a result of its nuclear and missile programs. The country amassed the funds through cyber attacks, Nikkei says citing an expert panel reporting to the UN Security Council. Australian federal police (AFP) have arrested two men connected to a cryptocurrency-fused drug syndicate operating in Melbourne. According to a statement, AFP agents executed a string of search warrants yesterday, seizing steroids, Australian currency, and “cryptocurrency-related items.” In particular, a 27-year-old-man was arrested and charged with playing a key role in the alleged drug importing and trafficking enterprise. YouTube announced last night that it’ll show information panels in Hindi and English, powered by fact-checkers on controversial topics in India. The company said that these panels will appear on top of the search results, and help users identify misinformation, and avoid videos propagating it. The platform provides an easy way to learn about things you hear on the news, like tensions between India and Pakistan, and the Momo challenge. I’d like to think that everyone who reads TNW knows that vaccines work. That they don’t cause autism, as demonstrated time and time again. That autism doesn’t need the extra stigma and is most certainly preferable to sick and dead kids. That vaccines keep everyone safer, not just the vaccinated. But there are people who don’t believe in vaccines, and they are often led to those beliefs by misinformation spread on social media. Blizzard today announced it’s partnering with GOG.com to bring back the original Diablo, in all its 90s RPG glory. This is the first time the game will be available digitally, and both companies have made an effort to ensure gamers are getting the real deal. According to Blizzard, the version of Diablo that’s coming to GOG will be an “authentic Diablo experience” allowing players to “play the game as it was in 1996, with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics,” and old-school Battle.net matchmaking.
