Discord today announced it’s premiering its own internal livestreaming feature, appropriately titled Go Live. It’s essentially a very small video stream where a few friends can comment on your gameplay — but it sounds like a fun alternative to other livestreaming services. Researchers at Zscaler ThreatLabZ have identified a new remote-access trojan (RAT) called Saefko, which retrieves Chrome browser history in a search for cryptocurrency-related activity The RAT, written in .NET and available for sale on the dark web, also looks for information relating to other activities involving credit cards, business, social media, gaming, and online shopping. Some 15 countries, including Australia and Singapore, are reportedly banding together to create a data collection and sharing system on individuals carrying out cryptocurrency transactions. According to Nikkei, the common goal would be to prevent funds from being laundered or used to finance terrorist organizations. The system will be designed by the Financial Action Task Force, an organization spanning across more than 30 member countries tasked with combatting money laundering, and the objective is to establish detailed measures by 2020. Blockstream, the blockchain infrastructure firm that sent a Bitcoin satellite into space, has entered the cryptocurrency mining space. The company revealed details about its Bitcoin mining data centers in Quebec, Canada and Adel, Georgia earlier this week. A new report says that Apple is using some kind of mechanism that essentially throws up a massive error message if anyone other than an Apple technician attempts to put a new battery in an iPhone — even if the battery itself is an Apple product. The report comes from Craig Lloyd of iFixit, and shows what the warning looks like.
