Officials in Indonesia have raised the alert level for a volcano on the resort island of Bali to the highest threshold over fears an eruption could be imminent. Thousands of residents and tourists were evacuated from villages near the Mount Agung volcano, which last erupted more than 50 years ago. The U.S. Department of Education has withdrawn 2011 guidance on how colleges should handle accusations of sexual assault, saying the policy "failed to ensure fundamental fairness." Anti-government protests broke out Friday in Cameroon's two English-speaking regions. The demonstrators echoed calls from separatist groups for Cameroon's southwest and northwest to break away from French-speaking regions and form their own state. On April 13, 2015 the world watched as two homemade bombs exploded at the finish line of the iconic Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring more than 264 others. Jeff Bauman was one of those badly hurt. Both his legs were blown off. Hours later, when he awoke from surgery, Bauman helped the FBI identify Tamerlan Tsarnaev as one of the suspects. U.S. President Donald Trump will campaign Friday at a rally in Alabama on behalf of Senator Luther Strange, an establishment-backed Republican candidate who has trailed opponent Roy Moore in a special runoff election. Briefing reporters Friday, the attorney general sought to stave off fears of an impending constitutional crisis. The International Organization for Migration said it has voluntarily repatriated 1,666 Burundian refugees in Tanzania over the past two weeks. More than 400,000 Burundian refugees have fled to eight neighboring countries since violence surged in Burundi in 2015. The International Organization for Migration said the bulk of the refugees, nearly 280,000, went to Tanzania. It said about 80 percent of the refugees are women and children. Transport officials in London say they will not renew Uber’s license to operate in the city due to “a lack of corporate responsibility” in dealing with the ride hailing app’s safety issues. The regulatory body Transport for London said in a statement Friday Uber London “is not fit and proper” to operate in the city. TfL considers that "Uber's approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility in relation to a number of issues which have potential public safety and security implications,” the agency said. The United Nations estimates some 429,000 Rohingya refugees have fled violence in Myanmar for Bangladesh since August 25. As the number edges toward half-a-million, U.N. agencies are increasing life-saving assistance to desperate people living in squalid settlements. Cheap solar panels imported from China and other countries have led to a boom in the U.S. solar industry, where rooftop and other installations have surged 10-fold since 2011. NASA's asteroid-chasing spacecraft is swinging by Earth on its way to a space rock. Launched a year ago, Osiris-Rex will pass within about 11,000 miles (17,700 kilometers) of the home planet Friday afternoon. It will use Earth's gravity as a slingshot to put it on a path toward the asteroid Bennu.
