Police say a monster truck performing for spectators in Maine clipped an aerial power line, toppling several utility poles and sending two people to the hospital. The Topsham Fairgrounds was hosting a monster truck event on Saturday when a vehicle dubbed the Crushstation jumped into the air and hit the power line. Video showed people scrambling when a utility pole with a transformer fell alongside the track. Topsham police say two people were transported to hospitals and others suffered minor injuries. The warden at a troubled Wisconsin prison where multiple inmates have died over the last year has quit. The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Waupun Correctional Institution Warden Randall Hepp announced his resignation on Tuesday. Four inmates have died at Waupun since June 2023. The state Department of Corrections imposed lockdown conditions at Waupun as well as prisons in Green Bay and Stanley last year due to a lack of guards, prompting a lawsuit by Waupun inmates alleging they're being subjected to cruel and unusual punishment. Two Lebanese shepherds were killed in an Israeli strike that hit their house in the town of Houla near the Lebanon-Israel border, Lebanon’s National News agency says. Lebanon’s Agriculture Minister Abbas Hajj Hassan said that a separate Israeli strike Sunday morning had damaged his ministry’s office in the town of Bint Jbeil as well as the city’s commercial market and local government headquarters. A shooting at a bar in suburban Pittsburgh has left two people dead and seven others injured. Allegheny County Police Department’s homicide unit said it has responded to a request for help by Penn Hills Police Department after the early morning shooting at the Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in Penn Hills. Flooding, high river levels and heavy rain led to the death of a firefighter and disrupted train travel across Germany on Sunday. The firefighter died when an inflatable watercraft carrying four firefighters capsized as they navigated flood waters in the town of Pfaffenhofen on the Ilm River in the southern Bavaria region. A shooting on a street in Akron, Ohio, killed one man and wounded 26 other people early Sunday morning. Local news outlets report the shooting happened after midnight near Kelly Avenue and 8th Avenue. Initial reports say a 27-year-old man was killed while dozens of injured victims were transported to area hospitals. Indonesia’s Mount Ibu has erupted again and spewed thick, gray ash and dark clouds 7,000 meters (16,000 feet) into the air, officials say.
