A cholera outbreak in Yemen has killed at least 180 people since April 27, the International Committee of the Red Cross said Monday. Two years into a war between Houthi rebels and government forces allied with a Saudi-led Arab military coalition, which has killed more than 8,000 people, Yemen has declared a state of emergency in the capital Sana'a over the outbreak. The United States accused Syria on Monday of carrying out mass killings of prisoners on a daily basis and then burning their bodies in a large crematorium outside the capital of Damascus. The U.S. State Department said as many as 50 prisoners a day are being hanged at the Saydnaya prison. A New Hampshire man who was injured in a house explosion is thanking Siri for saving his life. Christopher Beaucher says he was checking on his mother's vacant cottage in Wilmot on May 1 when he saw something suspicious and went inside.   He tells WMUR-TV that when he switched on a light, the house exploded.   "The whole place caught fire," Beaucher said. The Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal to reinstate North Carolina's voter identification law, which a lower court said targeted African-Americans "with almost surgical precision."
