Authorities have identified three men who were found fatally shot in a northwestern Indiana home. Police found the men shot in a home in Griffith on Friday afternoon. WFLD-TV reported Saturday that the Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the men as 69-year-old Marshall Lawson; 67-year-old John Sfefanich; and 63-year-old Robert Sacviar. Police are investigating several scenarios, including whether the incident was a murder-suicide. No arrests have been made but authorities say there's no public safety threat.

A late-night fight at a New Hampshire diner has led to an assault charge against a former police officer and arrest warrants for two others. The New Hampshire State Police say in a news release that former Portsmouth police officer Aaron Goodwin has been charged with simple assault following the fight on Nov. 22. They say he turned himself in on Friday. Seacoastonline reports that the victim alleges it was a racist attack. New Mexico State police are seeking a suspect they have now identified in the shooting death of one of their officers. State Police Chief Troy Weisler said during a news conference Saturday that authorities are looking for 33-year-old Jaremy Smith of Marion, South Carolina, in the fatal shooting of Officer Justin Hare. Tesla and a Black man who worked at the company’s California factory have settled a discrimination case that drew attention to the company's treatment of minorities. A document filed Friday with the federal court in San Francisco says that former worker Owen Diaz reached an agreement that fully resolves all claims. Township official says three people have been killed in shootings in suburban Philadelphia.

Defense officials say at least 16 soldiers, including four officers, have been killed in southern Nigeria while responding to a distress call during fighting between two communities. The attack in the oil-rich, riverine Delta state happened in the Bomadi council area Thursday when the soldiers, deployed to keep the peace, “were surrounded by some community youths and killed,” Defense Headquarters spokesman Brig. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a fatal crash in San Antonio, Texas, that involved a Ford electric vehicle that may have been using a partially automated driving system. The agency says in a statement Friday that a team of investigators will travel to Texas and work with local police on the probe into the Feb. 24 crash on Interstate 10. A mountaineer, author and filmmaker who co-directed and co-produced a 1998 IMAX documentary about climbing Mount Everest has died. His business manager says David Breashears died Thursday at his home in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He was 68.
