A local official said he was told more than 20 people were killed in a shooting at a church in South Texas Sunday.  Albert Gamez, a county commissioner, also told media that 20 others were wounded when a man walked into a Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas around 11:30 am and began shooting. Two suicide bombers struck in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Sunday, killing at least five people and wounding more than 20 others, police and medical sources said. Military forces were deployed Sunday to help thousands of displaced people in Malaysia’s northern state of Penang, officials said, as floodwater rose from more than 24 hours of incessant rain.
